Analyzing the Effect of Unemployment on the Social Adjustment Level
Among Unemployed Saudis

Abstract
Sociologists have often emphasized the role of work on individual social adjustment and behavior. Hence, unemployment causes maladjustment, which may reduce individual\'s bond to conventional societal institutions. Consequently individual rights to work and employment becoming increasingly evident in many countries\' constitution as laws.
This research finding attested a modest to a lower level of social adjustment among the unemployed Saudi sample. Moreover, the statistical analysis of T-test and one way ANOVA show a statistically significant effect on social adjustment for the following variables: Education specialty, having an unemployed in the family and the mount of monthly income for those who have been worked before. Finally the research support the idea that unemployment can causes maladjustment and feeling of resentment, hostility and withdrawal of legitimacy.
